Hi! I’m Jess.
The Dreaming Foodie is a fun, lighthearted blog where I share and talk about the food that I love and the stories behind that food. I’ve recently described myself as “a 25 year old who loves to be in the kitchen and loves sharing and talking about the food that comes out of it.” That’s what you’ll find on this blog.
Here is a little bit of my story. I went to college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a college located about 15 minutes from where I grew up. I graduated in May 2013 with a degree in journalism and an interest in photography. I moved to Philadelphia upon graduating to live with Greg, my boyfriend who I met several years earlier at IUP, and who was then pursuing a PhD at a university in Philly. I worked at a great cafe in Philly, in a great park and loved my time there. In the fall of 2014 though, Greg and I decided to leave the city behind and move to the center of the state, where he would go back to his family farm and be a seventh generation fruit farmer. That’s where we are now, and while he works hard as a farmer, I work
part time in the farm’s office and at several farmer’s markets in the area at an awesome organization that works to better the place we live for visitors and residents alike!
This blog has been with me since I have been at IUP. I started it in my cozy one bedroom apartment, just after getting my first good camera as an early graduation gift from my entire family. This blog stuck with me through two different apartments in Philly and now, in our house in the country.
